Ways To Give

Legacy Giving

Keep a Lutheran voice strong for generations to come.

A gift to Lutheran Theological Seminary Saskatoon through your will can help prepare leaders for a church and a world that none of us can fully foresee today.

It is one of the most enduring ways you can support the future of Lutheran theological education.

A future gift can make a lasting difference.

The people who established and sustained LTS over nearly a century could not know exactly what the church would look like today.

They understood, however, that the church would continue to need thoughtful, well-formed leaders.

A gift through your estate allows that same confidence to reach into the future.

Your gift can help LTS continue to teach, form leaders, support Lutheran scholarship, and remain present within the life of the church for generations still to come.

Including LTS in your plans.

You may choose to include Lutheran Theological Seminary Saskatoon as a beneficiary in your will or estate plans.

Your lawyer or professional adviser can help you determine the arrangement that best reflects your wishes and circumstances.

Because personal, family, legal, and financial circumstances differ, LTS does not provide legal or financial advice. We encourage you to discuss any proposed estate gift with the appropriate professional advisers.

You are also very welcome to speak confidentially with us before making your decision.

Give future leaders the
freedom to respond.

LTS is fortunate to have substantial support already established through trusts and endowments created by previous generations.

For future legacy gifts, we especially encourage flexibility.

A legacy directed to the most urgent work of the seminary gives future LTS leaders the ability to respond to needs and opportunities that may be difficult to predict today.

If you have a particular area of LTS’s mission that you care deeply about, Hugh would be pleased to discuss how your intentions can be expressed clearly while preserving as much long-term usefulness as possible.

You do not need to be wealthy to make a meaningful future gift.

A legacy gift is simply one way of including the causes and institutions you care about in your future plans.

For some people, it provides an opportunity to make a gift larger than would have been possible during their lifetime.

Every estate and every family circumstance is different. The important thing is that your plans reflect your own priorities and responsibilities.

If you have already included LTS

If you have already made provision for LTS in your will or estate plans, you are welcome to tell us.

There is no requirement to do so, and you do not need to disclose the amount of your intended gift.

Knowing of your intentions can simply help us understand your wishes, thank you personally, and ensure that we have the information needed to honour them as carefully as possible.

A confidential conversation.

You do not need to know all of the terminology or have every detail settled before getting in touch.

If you are considering a future gift to LTS, we would be pleased to hear what you are thinking and to answer whatever questions we can.

Our conversation can remain entirely confidential, and there is never any obligation to proceed.
